In addition to previous answers, lots of good infos in the forum, you can look at

specially the post from grimbert and the concussion shot trick...

You can also try to get 2 beast lord items (steam vault/botanica...) to buy some extra time.

There is also somewhere a macro or set of macro for different pull shots... I use one with modifiers (shift/Ctrl/alt) to choose between arcane(1) or max, distracting or concussion; works fine.

If you become really involved in trapping there is a post by Guywired about trapresist and spellhit to counter the effects.

I am MM oriented (16/33/12) and have quite the same questions or problems, so good luck.
